Cemetery Beth Israël Restoration

Beth Israel Cemetery, a Jewish burial ground, is situated on Boulevard René-Lévesque Ouest in Quebec City and has stood there since 1840, governed since 1898 by the Congregation Beth Israel Ohev Sholem (CBIOS).

It remains one of the few enduring testimonies to the Jewish community's presence in Quebec City, dating back to 1759. The cemetery was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1992.

Our Congregation Beth Israel Ohev Sholem has undertaken the restoration of the headstones within Beth-Israel Cemetery, and we share below the progress thereof :
